The community Trebnje covers, with its 18200 inhabitants and 220 settlements, 317,1 km2. It is sorrounded by picturesgue hills, where forests and vineyards are complemented by typical peasants` and vinegrovers` cottages. The image is completed by small churches, interesting for their cultural background or arhitecture; some of them, though, are well known for mediaeval frescoes (Mirna, Viher near � entrupert). Charming also is the valley of the river Mirna. North-west of town Trebnje. Bigger towns in the valley are Mirna (7km), � entrupert (11km) and Mokronog (16km), known for ancient architectural details and remains of mediaeval castles. The whole area invites visitors to walkings, sport activities, hunting and fishing. Accomodaion is offered in private pensions.
